The Integrated Air and Missile Defence Centre of Excellence (IAMD COE) participated in the LCI-X 1-26 Eastern Phoenix , which was held in Romania on 20–24 April 2026.
Layered Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems Initiative (LCI-X) aims to enhance NATO’s defence capabilities by enabling experimental introduction of emerging C-UAS technologies.
The IAMD COE was represented by two participants. Participation in the Layered Counter-UAS Initiative (LCI-X) aligns with our organization’s objectives to remain operationally relevant and closely connected with ACT. The initiative provided a valuable opportunity to test and integrate counter-UAS solutions. Engagement in LCI-X enhanced our technical and operational knowledge, and our ability to contribute effectively to Alliance-wide, rapid, and threat-based counter-UAS capabilities.
