From 8 to 11 April 2024, the Integrated Air & Missile Defence Centre of Excellence (IAMD COE) has successfully conducted the 1st iteration of the Surface Based Air & Missile Defence Common Education and Training Program (SBAMD CET-P) for the year 2024.
SBAMD CET-P is a four-day course that covers NATO IAMD Policy, Threats to SBAMD forces, NATO C2 structure, Air C2 and ATO Cycle, Data Link connection, SBAMD planning principles and execution processes, and reporting procedures. It aims to educate and train tactical-level SBAMD operators in NATO Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) regarding the execution of SBAMD operations in NATO environment and contributes to the development of a common understanding and interoperability among NATO SBAMD forces.
The 1st/2024 SBAMD CET-P was delivered by experts from CAOC UEDEM, JAPCC, CC SBAMD, HTAF, IAMD COE and was attended by 37 trainees from 15 NATO countries.
IAMD COE conducts the SBAMD CET-P twice a year, and the next iteration is scheduled between 18 – 21 of November 2024.
