On the 28th and 29th of February 2024, the IAMD COE organised the Seminar “Crafting Accounting Management Solutions: Expert Insights and Best Practices on Customising Accounting Software”, held in Chania/Greece.
This Seminar, stemmed from collaborative discussions at the NATO-Accredited COEs Legal Advisors and Financial Controllers Workshop 2023, became a cornerstone for sharing best practices and experiences in accounting software utilisation, incorporating insights and best practices from the IAMD COE.
Delving into the intricacies and capabilities of cutting-edge and effective accounting software, as it has been established, customised, and configured by the IAMD COE, the event was specifically tailored for entities on the scale of a COE, ensuring alignment with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), while covering aspects from cash to accrual basis of accounting.
The event drew active participation from representatives of 13 NATO-accredited COEs, as well as officials from Ministries of Defence, and other NATO and National entities, providing a valuable experience for all participants.
